I have started my largest painting to date, and I am working in a free manner without any preconceived idea of what the painting will be. I feel like the canvas is telling me what to paint and I am simply revealing the soul of the surface. It is refreshing and exciting and hopefully it wont suck. The results so far are definitely more psychedelic/schizophrenic looking than my more figurative paintings. I will probably work in this manner for a little while as I am really enjoying myself, but then again I may change my mind about the whole damn thing before I even finish this first one. I plan on getting a digital camera soon so I will not have to borrow my friend’s anymore so picture updates will become more frequent. I would like to document the making of one of these soon.
