In some ways I have not changed in 30+ years of life. I still love to make pictures and listen to music, just like I always have. I played drums in various punk and metal bands from high school through college. The experience of collaborating and writing music solidified my passion for creating art in one medium or another. In 2005 I graduated from college in San Diego with a BS degree in Design (“New Media” actually) to discover I was sick of the b.s. of design. Sitting in front of a computer screen no longer appealed to me.

Sometime after graduation I started drawing again on a regular basis, and in 2007 I made the decision to shift my focus from design to fine art and illustration. You can definitely see a change in my work at this time. Less “found art” and digital collage, more drawing. It was around this same time that I was given this ridiculous nickname, which I adopted for my art. Changing my signature symbolized a new approach, and this peculiar moniker seems to compliment the absurd quality found in my art. Although I now prefer an analog approach to creating art I fully understand the necessity of the computer, and I still use the skills I learned in school daily. I am highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and have a thorough knowledge of prepping files for print (offset or screenprint). I have been plastering San Diego with screenprinted concert posters since 2003, advertising local favorites as well as touring acts. I have been hand-pulling my own prints since 2007.  I still sporadically freelance for a variety of clients including 20th Century Fox and numerous bands and record labels.

I am currently looking for opportunities to display my fine art in group art shows. Need artists for an upcoming art show? Own a gallery? I would love to hear from you.

I am also looking for freelance work. I want to paint/illustrate your album/poster/t-shirt/logo/skateboard/face/etc. Hire me.
